About

History

On February 4, 2019, Manifestations Worldwide Inc. opened A Bridge of Hope Teen Transition Center, a private school registered with the Florida Department of Education. A Bridge of Hope served foster care youth that were unenrolled, suspended, expelled, or not participating in a traditional education setting. The targeted ages were 13-17. Students were able to earn their high school diploma or GED by enrolling in online courses on either Florida Virtual School or Edgenuity. A Bridge of Hope also offered life skills and career readiness sessions weekly in barbering, fashion design, resume writing, and much more. Students took weekly field trips to the movies, Lowry Park Zoo, Busch Garden, MOSI, Rowlett Park, and the beach to enhance the learning dynamic and to engage the students in academic concepts outside of the classroom.

After spending 5 months in the original location, A Bridge of Hope transitioned to a new home with a classroom, cafeteria, and social and emotional learning space. The new location also had an upstairs office space to provide counseling, resources, and a computer lab for the students to utilize.

Manifestations Worldwide Inc. transitioned A Bridge of Hope to Manifestations School for Innovation and Learning on August 15, 2022 and welcomed 25 students into grades K, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 12. The primary objective of Manifestations School for Innovation and Learning is to serve as a microschool that prepares students for success beyond high school by exposing them to research based curricula, supportive services, and career pathways that will allow them to be active participants in their development as productive citizens and lifelong learners. The new school prides itself for its small class sizes and hands-on teaching approach.

Since the beginning, Tavis Myrick has served as the fearless leader. He served as the Program Director for A Bridge of Hope and now serves as the Principal for Manifestations School for Innovation and Learning.
